Macfab Manufacturing is a precision CNC machine shop in Mississauga for people who take pride in doing things right. For more than 35 years, our team of over 90 machinists, programmers and staff has worked with more than 53 CNC machines, producing close-tolerance components for demanding industries.
At Macfab, we do more than cut metal. Our components go into mass spectrometers, aircraft, satellites, trace-detection security screening equipment and medical device assemblies. Some of what we make goes into orbit and never comes back for a service call. Other parts end up in instruments a hospital has to be able to trust. Work like that depends on people who care about getting it right, every time.

On the Floor
Macfab runs day and afternoon shifts, and paid overtime is available. Uniforms are provided, and tool expectations vary by position. Any required tools or minimum tool requirements will be communicated during the hiring process.
Machining here is teamwork. Programs are proven out offline, first-offs go through QC, and working well with the people around you matters just as much as technical ability.

Macfab hires for a range of skilled manufacturing roles, from CNC machining and lathe operation to quality inspection, deburring and maintenance. Current openings vary, with opportunities also available in other areas as the team grows.

Students, New Grads and Apprentices
Macfab welcomes people at every stage of a machining career, from co-op students and summer students to new graduates and experienced machinists. Since 1987, we have sponsored apprentices through the General Machinist (429A) program, who learn alongside experienced machinists on the floor.

Careers FAQ
Tool requirements vary by position. Macfab provides the tooling required for the job, but some positions have minimum personal tool requirements. Any required tools will be communicated during the hiring process, and you’re welcome to use your own tools.
Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is required for positions subject to Controlled Goods requirements. Canadian work experience is not required, and international machining experience is welcome if it meets the technical requirements of the position.

Yes. Macfab offers co-op placements, summer positions and opportunities for new graduates. Since 1987, we have also sponsored apprentices through the General Machinist (429A) apprenticeship program.
No. General Machinist (429A) is a voluntary trade in Ontario, so certification is not legally required. Apprenticeship training and Red Seal certification can still open doors to additional career opportunities and mobility.
