NEWS RELEASE: May 7, 2019: Macfab Manufacturing, an international supplier of critical components and sub-assemblies, is a sponsor of the European Space Agency’s 2019 Living Planet Symposium, to be held this year in Milan, May 13-17.

Macfab will be represented at the Living Planet event by the company’s business development director, Joe Magyar. Macfab also exhibited at the 12th IAA Symposium on Small Satellites for Earth Observation, May 6-10, in Berlin.

“We are extremely proud to sponsor this event,” Joe Magyar says. “Given today’s growing concerns over climate change and environmental sustainability, the need for advanced small satellite-based earth observation has perhaps never been more important. We at Macfab are honoured to play our part, in partnership with our customers, in driving its success.

“I’m also excited about attending the Living Planet symposium for the first time. I look forward to connecting with our many colleagues from Europe and elsewhere, and to meeting new ones as well.”

 About the Symposium

The Living Planet Programme was formed by the European Space Agency (ESA) in 1998 as part of its broader programme of scientific- and application-based missions. The symposium, held every three years, today ranks among the largest Earth Observation conferences in the world. The 2019 Symposium is organized with the support of the Italian Space Agency.

The symposium’s fundamental focus is on how Earth Observation contributes to science and society. Today, with the advent of new, disruptive technologies and new public and private sector participants, the symposium will also address the resulting new opportunities, not only in science but also in the business sector.
