Quality Inspector

Position Overview

The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager and ensures quality standards are met and aligned with customer requirements.  The Quality Inspector is responsible to follow and enforce quality standards, policies and procedures in support of efficient quality management.

  • Knowledge of metals, metal alloys and engineered plastics

Key responsibilities & duties

  • Perform first off, in process and final inspections of parts as well as incoming material and component inspections to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Perform incoming inspections of materials and components to ensure they meet the specifications and tolerances
  • Use CMM and Vision systems and various gauges and measuring devices
  • Apply sound judgement in making quality related decisions and problem solving

  • Minimum 5 years of direct quality work experience in precision machining environment,

Quality Manager

Position Overview

The Quality Manager reports to the General Manager and ensures quality standards are met and aligned with legislation and customer requirements.  The Quality Manager is responsible for the enforcement of quality standards, policies, procedures, controls and audits to ensure effective and efficiency of the quality program.

As part of the management team this position is jointly responsible for contributing towards the achievement of the company’s strategic and operational targets and overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership maintaining, directing and enhancing the Quality system and initiatives
  • Collaborate with client Quality representatives and engineers, assume responsibility for ensuring products meet customer specifications and any necessary corrective actions developed and implemented
  • Apply sound judgement in making quality related decisions and problem solving
  • Employee performance management including monitoring, performance reviews, recommendations and discipline, as necessary
  • Manager non-conformances, customer returns, root cause and corrective action process, certificate and first article inspection reporting

General Machinist

Position Overview

The General Machinist is a certified tradesperson who reads and interprets complex engineering drawings and documents; cuts shapes, machines and finishes precision parts; sets up and operates conventional and numerically-controlled machines and equipment; and performs measurements and inspections using specialized precision tools and equipment.

Core competencies

  • Trade certification with minimum of five years’experience
  • Experience in cutting, shaping and finishing plastic and metal precision parts
  • Experience setting up and operating conventional and numerically-controlled cutting equipment including saws, drills, grinders, lathes and mills
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Perform calculations for machining operations
  • Identify, select and use proper tooling
  • Identify and use proper machine settings, feeds and controls

CNC Mill Operator

The CNC Mill Operator position will be required to perform tasks involving operating, loading and unloading of CNC mills, and will perform in-process quality checks to ensure conformance to drawing specifications and other similar duties.

Deburring Technician

The Deburring Technician will be required to perform tasks involving light physical labor, operate a variety of hand and handheld power tools in deburring, polishing, sand blasting and sanding small parts.
